Our Portfolio
Showcase Journey

Our journey to create this showcase began in early January. During this time of planning and strategizing how to bring about a great year-end event, we became closer as a class and got to know one another better. Through the brainstorming process we were able to learn from and be inspired by one another.

Our first step was to create a fundraiser that would provide us with the means to host a proper celebratory showcase. This fundraiser gave us the chance to put into practice the skills we would need for the final showcase event. The next step in our process was to begin designing our class branding; we eventually agreed upon a classy 1920s look. Up next, was getting mock-ups for our website and brochure together. As the logo was finalized, the look of our showcase event was starting to take shape. More content and design assets were created, beginning to fill out the brochure and website. Finally, as the date drew closer, we prepared invitations and thank-you cards. The website you are visiting today and the brochure displayed below are the results of months of hard work, and the portfolios of each student are the result of years.

Thank you for supporting the WEGD Class of 2020 on our journey to create this event.

Branding Style Sheet & décor Mood board

One of the most difficult parts in our showcase journey was to choose the best colours, fonts, and assets to represent our theme. Working as a group, the Branding Team was able pull together this classy style sheet. Additionally, Ashley Stephens created a décor mood board to inspire the party theme.

In order to have people attend our invent we had to invite them! So students collaborated to design a poster and an invitation that represented our 1920s theme but also conveyed the information clearly.
